About This Project

Belle Pérez (*Neerpelt, Belgium, January 29, 1976) is a Belgian singer-songwriter, of Spanish parents.

She became known in Belgium as a result of her participation in the Belgian pre-selection for Eurovision in 1999 with the song “Hello world”, which despite not being chosen, did enjoy great success in much of Europe (even recorded a Spanish version of it, “Hola mundo”).

It was followed by hits such as “Honeybee”, “This crazy feeling”, “Get up and boogie” or “Me and you” (which also included a Spanish version of the song). His greatest success came with a Spanish album, “Baila Pérez” with songs like “Hijo de la luna” (in which he covered the famous Mecano song), “Bailaremos” or “Enamorada”. In 2006 she participated again in the national selection for Eurovision with “El mundo está bailando”, in Spanish, but she was surpassed by Kate Ryan.
