About This Project

Funkdacion is one of the most veteran bands in the national funk sound. Since the creation of the band in 1995, its members have been incorporating musical knowledge, influences and repertoires, always maintaining a distinctive identity around blacksound sounds. With a current style that combines acid jazz, funk and groove, the band from Granada has as a reference point the great Soul&Funk classics of the 70s and 80s, and this is confirmed by the three works that make up his discography: Urban Casino (2001), Fun people (2007), The PineBridge Sessions Vol. 1&2 (2017), Fun People in which he collaborated with one of the most important references of the Funky Disco in But the spirit of Funkdacion is really appreciated in its live, explosive and fun, which demonstrates the musical quality of each of its members and the loyalty of the audience that follows after so many years of training. They are currently presenting their new album The Pinebridge Session vol. 1&2, a self-produced and self-managed work that was released last April 2017 and in which they have been produced by Harold Burgon with the aim of extracting all the essence of the band recording live and obtaining the sound, magic and power of the live of the band always relying on the best technical means and all this in Sonobal Studios. The Pinebridge Sessions vol. 1&2 is different in terms of creative composition, and includes jazz influences fusion with soul tinges, a distinct component acidjazz all while maintaining the style and strength of the funk themes that continue to be the hallmark of the band’s identity.
