About This Project

The singer, composer and multi-instumentist born in Ronda and based in Marbella, is based on music of American roots to compose his songs with a very personal character that make discover a new way of interpreting the music of the past, which is once again emerging in the current era.
Incorporating elements from Blues, Swing, Ragtime and Rock n?roll, Hot Nasho has managed to create his own style based on his performance as a “one man band” and that has led him to obtain national recognition among the artists of this genre.

Since his debut in 2012 with this format where, apart from his own compositions, he reviewed old melodies of artists such as Charley Patton, Big Bill Broonzy or Fats Waller, he has been growing as an artist in recent years, having participated in festivals such as “Cazorla Blues” or “Blues at Moonlight”, among others, and offering concerts in different cities around Spain, as well as internationally, in London and London.
Before and during the creation of his main project as a Man Orchestra, he has worked as a bassist for great Blues artists in Spain such as Fernando Beiztegui, Felix Slim or Joaquín Sánchez and has accompanied international artists such as Appeljack Walroth (Los Angeles, California) or Jeanne Carroll (Ruleville, Mississippi) in their visits to Spain.
At the same time, he also has other projects in which he focuses on a particular genre, such as “Hey, Bro!” based on the Hill Country Blues.

His new album (Lain Down Thinking), which is composed of 14 original songs, includes tracks reminiscent of R. L Burnside’s blues with “Keeping on Dreaming” and “Pretty Sinner Baby”, Swing in the style of Duke Ellington’s orchestras or Cab Calloway with “At Dawn” and “Daredevil Love”, the Ragtime style that Blind Blake promoted with “Daredevil Love”. Other genres of unmistakable American roots with the tracks “Back to Mama”,”Hand on Mine”,”She Lied” or “Shake like an Earthquake” make this album a compilation of styles that remind us of the past and that have resurfaced in recent years thanks to artists such as Pokey Lafarge, J.
